UPDATE: OPP report serious collision involving two transports

UPDATE: 1:40 PM – The OPP says one lane has re-opened and more information will be shared once available.

Two tractor trailers have been involved in what Ontario Provincial Police call a serious collision on Highway 11 North between Bomarc Road and Sand Dam Road.  

North Bay OPP says emergency crews responded to the crash just before 4 am.   

One driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries. 

The OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) unit also attended and is on scene to assist with the investigation. 

Police say the highway remains closed in both directions from Marsh Drive in North Bay and Highway 64 in Marten River. 

Traffic is being detoured along Highway 17 West to Highway 64.
