Expanded role in government for Nickel Belt MP

Marc Serré, Member of Parliament for Nickel Belt, is now the Parliamentary Secretary to two federal ministers.

He continues in the role supporting the Minister of Official Languages but has also been appointed as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Natural Resources.

“I am both humbled and grateful to have been presented with these two appointments and would like to thank the Prime Minister for his confidence,” says Serré. “I look forward to working alongside both my honourable colleagues, Ministers [Johnathan] Wilkinson and [Randy] Boissonnault, the entire cabinet and all members of Parliament. I accept the responsibilities that come with the work ahead and am very much up to the task.”

He says government efforts to reduce emissions, create clean jobs and address climate-related challenges are the focus with the Natural Resources portfolio.

Serré also remains active on both the National Standing Committee on the Status of Women and on the Joint Interparliamentary Council.
