West Nipissing’s Canada Day Fireworks will light up the sky this Sunday.
Part of the usual holiday festivities, the fireworks were put on hold due to the province-wide fire-ban this summer.
Officials with the municipality say they’re working with the local fire department to celebrate the end of summer and beginning of the school year.
Along the fireworks, an outdoor movie will be projected at the amphitheatre on King Street and both events are free for everyone.
The Super Mario Bros movie will be on around 8 pm, and the municipality shares to bring our own chairs snacks and blankets, with the fireworks to be launched at 10 pm at the Sturgeon Falls beach.
