No public safety concerns after fatal fire last fall

Ontario Provincial Police have completed their investigation into the deaths of two people after a residential fire on Quesnel Road in Sturgeon Falls last November.  

Nipissing West OPP say the investigation has determined there is no public safety concern and police are not looking for any suspects.  

Police say the OPP and the West Nipissing Fire Service responded to the fire shortly before 9 am on November 2, 2022.  

Two people were located deceased at the scene. 

The investigation included the Nipissing West OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the Criminal Investigation Branch, the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
