Accolades continue to come in for a faculty member at both Nipissing University and Cambrian College.
Laura Killam has been chosen as a 3M National Teaching Fellowship.
She’s one of ten recipients from across Canada.
Officials say the Fellowship honours exceptional contributions to teaching and learning at the post-secondary level.
“Receiving the 3M National Teaching Fellowship is a career highlight for me, and I feel deeply grateful and honoured to be recognized at such a high level as an educator, innovator, and leader,” says Killam. “I want to express my sincere appreciation to everyone who has supported me along the way. I look forward to using this opportunity to continue to further develop my teaching practice and make a positive impact on students’ lives.”
This is the third honour for Killam this school year after she was named a recipient of the Early Career Research Awards from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH).
She was also chosen for the 2022 Excellence in Nursing Education (Non-Tenured) Award by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) in November.
