Flood Outlook extended to Friday by MNRF

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry in the North Bay District is advising area residents that the Watershed Conditions Statement – Flood Outlook has been extended until Friday, Apr. 15.

The ministry says area residents should keep a close watch on conditions and exercise caution around rivers and streams while alerting children to the possible dangers and supervising their activities.

Officials say the warming temperatures could cause local flooding in low-lying areas.

The flood outlook was initially issued on Tuesday, Apr. 4.
