Cupcake Week supporting the North Bay & District Humane Society

A sweet fundraiser starts this week for the North Bay & District Humane Society.

Officials are hoping to raise $20,000 to expand the organization’s Pet Clinic and complete construction on its new Adoption Centre.

“Animal shelters like ours are over capacity across the country and requests for help have only grown steadily,” says Liam Cullin, Executive Director. “Each year, the North Bay Humane Society takes in more than 1,500 lost, injured and surrendered pets and fundraisers like Cupcake Week help us fulfill our mission to find every one of them a loving forever home.”

Cupcake Week officially launches on Feb. 25 with Twiggs Coffee Roasters’ McKeown and Fraser locations and continues with vendor sales throughout the week at Orchards Fresh Food Market, Chez Jean-Marc Bakery and Good Glaze Doughnuts.

Online orders are currently being accepted at the Humane Society website with delivery and curbside pickup options available.

There’s also the Sweet Treat Auction of donated homemade treats starting on Wednesday, Feb. 22 and ending Thursday, March 2 with 106.3 Moose FM’s Mike Monaghan to auction a cake live on the radio.
