Many in the community are mourning.
“It is with profound sadness that we share news on the death of one of our Paramedics, Jordan Gardiner,” writes Nipissing Paramedic Services on social media.
The service says Gardiner was an exemplary Paramedic whose dedication to the community and his patients could only be matched by the commitment and love that he had for his family and friends.
He fought cancer and cystic fibrosis while also raising awareness, through events like Jordan’s Bash For Hope last September, for others with the same conditions.
“Jordan Gardiner you were strong, resilient, and a wonderful person,” writes Cystic Fibrosis Canada, North Bay Chapter on social media. “We will miss you.”
Former North Bay mayor Al McDonald also wrote that Gardiner was an incredible young man, will be greatly missed and did make a difference.
