Second Annual Shoot for Change game set for next Saturday

Nipissing University’s second annual Shoot for Change Anti-Racism basketball game is coming back to the hardcourt.

The school’s Black Association for Student Expression, in partnership with Lakers Basketball, is inviting the community to attend the With1Voice “Shoot for Change” game taking place next Saturday.

The event is in support of Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour student bursaries at the school. Last year’s event raised over $18,000.

Both of the university’s Men and Women’s teams are in action against 705 Challenge Cup rival Laurentian Voyageurs.

Tickets are $10 for adults with kids under 12 having free admission.

If you can’t make the game, the school says donations are being accepted with raffle tickets and t-shirts being available as well.

The game will be played at the school’s Student Athletics Centre in North Bay.
