UPDATE: Two vehicle crash in Markstay-Warren closes HWY 535

UPDATE:

A 16-year-old from St. Charles is dead after the crash that shut down Highway 535 on Jan 18.

OPP says Krayvn Collins-Bouchard died following the two-vehicle crash that happened shortly before 7:30 in the morning.

They say the preliminary investigation indicates two vehicles crashed head-on, and the driver of one of the vehicles was not injured. The second vehicle had two occupants, with the driver being taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officers continue to investigate.

OPP officers are at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Highway 535 in Markstay-Warren.

Officials say the highway remains closed in both directions between Gervais Road and Northern Central Road, while they process the scene.
