Domestic violence statistics released for June…

North Bay Police respond 3 to 4 domestic related calls every day. In June alone, 12 people were charged with domestic related offences. Eight of the charged were men, and the other four women. The charges ranged from mischief, breach of probation, to assault with a weapon.

Police say in total they responded to 66 domestic occurrences and laid 22 charges. Visit www.onepledge.ca if you want to take a stand against domestic violence.
