Seven area groups are receiving funding from the Rotary Club of North Bay.
$27,500 was distributed this past week.
Food banks in West Nipissing, North Bay, Mattawa and the Salvation Army food bank each received $5,000.
$2,500 was also provided to food banks in Callander and Powassan along with St. John’s Anglican Church Open Arms Café.
“The club recognizes just how important each of these organizations are to the communities and families they serve throughout the year, and particularly at this time of the year,” says club president Grace Doiron.
