Long-term care residents receiving Christmas cards from students

Area students will be creating over a thousand Christmas cards for residents of several regional long-term care facilities.

The Near North Palliative Care Network says ten schools and ten long-term care facilities are involved in the ‘Northern Kids Care’ initiative.

Over 1,200 residents of long-term care facilities will be receiving cards.

“The initiative was the brainchild of Mariah Holmes, our Volunteer Coordinator here at Near North Palliative Care Network,” states a release. “The goal of the initiative is to brighten the holiday season for residents of our long-term care and retirement facilities in the area.”
