West Nipissing’s annual seniors’ holiday celebration won’t be taking place this year.
The municipality says the decision was made following several recommendations from health officials to take precautions during flu season, particularly for the senior age group.
Officials say the municipality’s administration and council have every intention of resuming the tradition in the future.
They’re hopeful that all residents can safely enjoy the holiday season with family and friends.
