Ontario Provincial Police report a 46-year-old resident of West Nipissing is facing charges of flight from police and dangerous operation.
Manitoulin OPP says an abandoned vehicle, located around 4 am on Nov. 18 on Highway 17 near Sables-Spanish Rivers Township was involved in a fail to stop incident in West Nipissing earlier that evening.
A short time later, police say they received a call about a suspicious person in the area, who fled on foot into a wooded area when officers attended.
Members of the Manitoulin OPP, OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), and the OPP Canine Unit located the person safely, according to police.
The accused has a Nov. 29 court appearance in North Bay.
