Canadore College and Nipissing University are following the lead of Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health and ‘strongly’ encourage the use of masks indoors again.
Both post-secondary schools say masks will continue to be provided for those who wish to wear them.
“We ask that employees and students respect individual preferences to wear a mask,” states Canadore’s Nov. 15 COVID-19 update.
Vaccinations are also encouraged at both the college and university but are not mandatory.
“While Nipissing’s vaccine mandate remains paused, the community is also strongly encouraged to stay up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations,” states the university’s Nov. 15 COVID-19 update.
Staff and students at both Canadore and Nipissing are also encouraged to complete a daily self-assessment and stay home if they are not well.
