NUBASE and Chippewa Secondary partner to host workshops

Workshops are being held this week involving the Nipissing University Black Association for Student Expression (NUBASE) and Chippewa Secondary School.

They’ve partnered with the non-profit organization Future Black Female, which works to empower Black girls and women to take charge of their health and financial well-being, education and career paths, and participate fully in social, political, and civic arenas.

“The event will provide our Black female community the opportunity to discuss and share our experiences, and highlight the important role that the younger generation have in our future, and the powerful presence within professional spaces”, says Simone Branch, NUBASE Administrative Director.

NUBASE’s event, which is open to all Black females in North Bay and surrounding area, is being held on Tuesday, Nov, 1 at 7:30 pm in the NUSU Student Centre (221 College Drive).

A workshop called ‘’Allyship in Action” is also being put on by NUBASE for Nipissing University faculty, staff, and administration.
