Major haul of suspected drugs seized by North Bay OPP

Ontario Provincial Police have seized over $3.2 million worth of suspected drugs after searching residences in Callander and Bonfield. 

Several OPP units along with the North Bay Police Service were involved in the investigation.  

OPP say on Oct. 20, officers seized large quanties of suspected cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl, amphetamine and oxycontin. 

Over $20,000 in cash was also seized by police along with cell phones, electronic devices and a silencer.

A 36-year-old Bonfield resident is facing 15 charges, including seven for drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.  

The accused was remanded in custody for a court appearance Oct. 26 in North Bay.
