Kathleen Thorne Rochon is the new mayor of West Nipissing.
That’s according to the unofficial election results on the municipality’s website.
The website shows Thorne Rochon garnered 2,698 votes (over 40%).
Ward representatives include Kris Rivard, Roch St. Louis, Daniel Gagné, Jamie Restoule, Kaitlynn Nicol, Anne Tessier, Fernand Pellerin and Jérôme Courchesne.

6,357 votes (45% of registered voters) were cast as of 5 p.m. Monday night.
School board results will be shared when they become official.
