Northern Ontario has seen one of its coldest winters in years and that’s prompted tough words from the federal NDP. The MP for Nickel Belt says it’s time the Harper Government implement an NDP suggestion and create an oil and gas ombudsman. Claude Gravelle says the ombudsman would help ensure fairness among Canadian families facing skyrocketing heating bills. He says one Northern Ontario family gets regular heating bills of up to $900 a month during the winter.
