The Labour Market Group is reporting a slight month-over-month increase in job postings in Nipissing in May.
644 job postings were recorded that month.
That’s up 2.5 percent from April’s 628 job postings.
Healthcare and social assistance was the top hiring industry in May, followed by retail trade.
Accommodation and food services rounds out the top three.
The top five employers posting jobs include:
– North Bay Regional Health Centre
– Near North District School Board
– District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board
– Canadore College – main campus
– Ontario Northland
Sales associate/representative was the top occupational category.
