Face coverings still required at the Health Unit

Masking continues at the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit and its community clinics.

Officials say while masking requirements in other high-risk areas, like public transit, have ended, the Health Unit will continue the requirement for clients to wear face coverings when receiving clinical services.

“When worn properly, masks and face coverings help to prevent the most vulnerable patients from contracting COVID-19,” states a release.  “They can also prevent the transmission of COVID-19 to healthcare providers, keeping people healthy and at work.”

The Health Unit is asking the public to respect the measure in place at their facilities.

Masking continues in other area healthcare settings as well, including West Nipissing General Hospital and the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
