CANO returns this fall

West Nipissing it’s time to take out our dancing shoes.

The West Nipissing Arts Council (CANO) is back this fall.

Four shows will be offered, one a month, between September and December. All of those shows will be announced by the end of June, and information on how to purchase tickets will be available on CANO’s website and Facebook page.

Marc Lavigne, CANO president, says they’re happy to be able to offer shows again after a two-year absence.

“For this first step in our jump-start, the Board of Directors and I have decided to proceed cautiously with a block of four shows to see if our patrons will respond,” he says. “If they do, and we hope they do, we will continue with another block of shows in 2023.”

Officials say Danny H. Poulin, CANO’s former executive director, will help plan the re-launch, and the organization’s partners will soon be contacted to be informed on upcoming details.
