A few dozen participants raised funds ahead of time then walked the approximately 13 kilometers from the Verner Library to the Lavigne Tavern Saturday in the hot midday sun. That walk, along with funds raised through donations and a raffle at the Lavigne Tavern that night made for an impressive donation total of over $3600.00 to the Canadian Cancer Society.
