The Nipissing Serenity Hospice has unveiled where they plan to build their facility.
If their proposal is accepted, the hospice would be located in a site on the south end of third avenue, overlooking Laurier Woods. Ideally they would like to start construction next spring, with the 10 bed facility being completed within eight months.
The building is expected to cost 4.9-million dollars, and the group is already fundraising. They would like to raise over 6-million dollars in case provincial funding falls through.
