Vic Fedeli, the MPP for Nipissing, says the Ontario government is being hypocritical. Fedeli says it’s allowing re-stocking at 1,200 lakes across the province but won’t allow re-stocking of pickerel at Lake Nipissing. Fedeli says no one knows for certain why the lake can’t be re-filled this year. So he’s made a suggestion. He wants an independent, third party research team to give everyone the real science about Lake Nipissing. Fedeli says the re-stocking prohibition is hurting the Lake Nipissing stakeholders who depend on the waterbody for its tourism value.
