‘Sweet’ fundraiser for the North Bay and District Humane Society

Here’s your chance to order some cupcakes for a good cause.

The North Bay and District Humane Society is taking part in National Cupcake Day.

The province-wide fundraiser raises money to support sick, injured and unwell companion animals.

Locally, the Humane Society is looking to raise $15,000 through cupcake sales for the construction of a new Adoption Centre to begin later this year.

“There is a growing need for animal welfare services in the north,” says Liam Cullin, Executive Director of the North Bay Humane Society. “Each year, the North Bay Humane Society takes in more than 1,500 lost, injured and surrendered pets and fundraisers like National Cupcake Day help us fulfill our mission to find every one of them a loving forever home.”

National Cupcake Day officially launches on Saturday, Feb. 19 at Twiggs Coffee Roasters’ McKeown and Fraser locations and continues throughout the week with vendor sales at Orchards Fresh Food Market, Chez Jean-Marc Bakery and Good Glaze Doughnuts.

Online orders are currently being accepted at the Humane Society website with delivery and curbside pickup options available throughout National Cupcake Week.
