Drug charge laid after passenger ducks cab fare

Skipping out on cab fare in Sudbury will cost a 31-year-old man.  The man bolted from the taxi when it arrived at his destination prompting a call to Sudbury police.  Police quickly found the man and discovered he was wanted on several warrants dating back to 2000 for not showing up in court.  In addition they found 22 grams of coke on the man worth $1,700.  The man paid the cabbie but he’s charged with possession of a controlled substance.
