Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning.
The agency says the minimum low temperatures of minus 30 to minus 35 degrees Celsius with wind chill values near minus 40 is expected tonight through Wednesday morning.
They say risks are greater for young children, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, people working or exercising outdoors, and those without proper shelter.
Environment Canada recommends covering up as frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.
