The auditor general will investigate why Ontario motorists have had to deal with dangerous highway conditions this winter. And Vic Fedeli, the Tory MPP for Nipissing, is pleased by the move. Fedeli says nearly every time it snows his office gets inundated with calls from people saying the highways are in terrible shape. Fedeli has raised these concerns with the Ministry of Transportation but says there haven’t been any improvements. The auditor is acting on a legislative committee motion to look into highway conditions that was introduced by an Eastern Ontario Tory MPP.
