Media Relations Officer Robert Lewis says as of this morning the bison are still roaming around.

Police say bison are wild animals. Even though they look docile, bison are dangerous, unpredictable, and may charge without warning.

The OPP is advising motorists who travel on Highway 64, between Field and Sturgeon Falls to use extreme caution and do not approach any of these animals.

Contact the Nipissing West OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122, if a Bison is observed on or near the highway.
