Police investigating reports of people being accosted at vaccine clinic

The North Bay Police Service will be providing an increased police presence in the area of future COVID-19 vaccine clinics.

This as the police service is investigating reports of individuals being accosted at a child and youth clinic on Sunday.

NBPS says they will lay charges if criminal acts were found to have occurred.

“Members of the North Bay Police Service were present at the clinic and are in the process of reviewing the actions of individuals and interviewing victims,” states a release from David Woolley, Corporate Communications Officer.  “The North Bay Police Service respects the rights of individuals to peacefully protest, but will not tolerate any interference with people’s right to safety when accessing health care and attending a vaccination clinic.”

NBPS says they will take enforcement action, if needed, at future clinics.
