West Nipissing has raised $33525 during the West Nipissing Fire Service Santa Fund.
That money comes from both the service’s virtual auction and radiothon. Overall the auction raised over $15,000 with the radiothon bringing in the balance.
For the second year in a row, the service partnered with Moose FM for the fundraiser.
The money is going towards delivering toys and food to families in need throughout West Nipissing.
Richard Maranda, WNFS chief, says without the community the event couldn’t happen.
“Year after year they’re there for us, and for the community,” says the Chief.
