Science North is recognizing the decades of support it got from former MPP Rick Bartolucci. It’s made the former minister for northern development and mines,as well as former Sudbury city councillor, an Honourary Life Member of Science North. The organization is also creating a legacy fund in Bartolucci’s name. The fund is to help young children with special needs access the learning experiences at Science North. Former Premier Dalton McGuinty and his replacement, Kathleen Wynne, congratulated Bartolucci via video. Both were among a long line-up of guests to wish Bartolucci well. Bartolucci is the 48th person to receive an Honourary Life Membership from Science North since it was formed 30 years ago.
