As the flu season sets in, the local health unit wants everyone to be prepared by getting their free flu shot.
The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit is offering six walk-in community flu clinics throughout the region over the next two weeks.
In Nipissing, the clinics are running next week:
- Monday, November 8th at the Mattawa Golden Age Club from 2 to 5:30 PM
- Wednesday, November 10th at Marcel Noël Hall in Sturgeon Falls from 4 to 6 PM
- Saturday, November 13th at the Elks Lodge in North Bay from 9 AM to 5 PM.
In the Parry Sound district, clinics are taking place:

- Wednesday, November 3rd at the Magnetawan Municipal Office from 3 to 5 PM
- Friday, November 5th at the Sundridge Strong Joly (SSJ) Arena from 10 AM to 2 PM
- Sunday, November 7th at the Stockey Centre in Parry Sound from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Officials say anyone six months and older is encouraged to get their flu shot.
Those who are not able to attend a clinic can visit a local pharmacy, make an appointment with their primary health care provider or call the Health Unit to book an appointment.
