North Bay Police officers are holding a news conference this afternoon after a suspicious shoe was found in a marsh off of Highway 11 south.
Over the weekend, biology students from a university were doing research in the marsh north of the Lakeshore Drive turnoff when they discovered the shoe. The students reported it to police immediately, who went to the site to investigate.
Police have now called the Coroner’s office to assist in the investigation. The news conference takes place at 2 PM at Police Headquarters.
