Mobile vaccination clinics available for workplaces, community groups and more

The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit is making mobile vaccination clinics available to workplaces, community organizations, places of worship and other groups.

The Health Unit says it’s another step towards reducing barriers to getting a COVID-19 vaccine.

Mobile Clinic Request Form has been posted online, which allows eligible groups to submit a request for a mobile vaccination team to come to their site.

“Mobile clinics are another way we can reach individuals who wish to be vaccinated but may not have had the chance to get to a clinic.” says Andrea McLellan, Director of COVID-19 Immunization Strategy. “It is important to us that everyone who wants to be vaccinated can be.”

Both first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine can be provided.

As of 10 am on August 9, 2021, almost 78 percent of residents in the Health Unit district 12 years of age and older have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 68 percent are fully vaccinated.
