A petition has been started by MPP Vic Fedeli to restock the walleye population in Lake Nipissing. Stakeholder requests to start a restocking program in the lake have been turned down again by the Ministry of Natural Resources. Vic Fedeli says that Lake Nipissing is one of the most ecologically and economically important lakes in Northeastern Ontario. A petition can be found on his website.
