A 25-year-old woman from West Nipissing is facing impaired charges.

Around noon yesterday, Nipissing West OPP reacted to a traffic complaint on Front Street in Sturgeon Falls.

While speaking to the driver, they determined she was impaired. She was then arrested, transported to the Sudbury OPP detachment for further testing.

She was released and is scheduled to appear in Sturgeon Falls court on September 2.

The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

This incident marks the 37th driver charged under the criminal impaired driving laws in the Nipissing West Detachment area in 2021.
