OPP seize nearly $7,000 of Fentanyl

A Brampton man is facing a drug trafficking charge after the OPP searched a home on Demers Street in Sturgeon Falls.

Police say they seized suspected fentanyl, over $6,700 in cash, as well as brass knuckles. The street value of the drugs is estimated at around $6,800.

The 20-year-old Brampton man was charged with drug trafficking, property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of a weapon.

He’s scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
