Council is officially supporting the creation of a hospice in North Bay. The support follows a presentation a few weeks ago from a local group trying to create the end of life care facility. The province has already identified North Bay as a community that should see a hospice built. Council will now send a letter of support to the Local Health Integration Network. There are actually two groups in the city trying to build a hospice but council’s resolution doesn’t favour one proposal over the other.
