West Nipissing helps family after truck hits children

Fundraisers are underway to help a family from Lavigne whose three children were hit by a pick-up truck in North Bay on Saturday.  The children of Dan and Tracy Seguin suffered broken bones and other injuries when they were hit by the truck.  The kids are now recovering at the Children’s Hospital for Eastern Ontario in Ottawa.  Donations can be made at the Caisse Populaire and the Lavigne Tavern will donate ticket sales to the family from a concert Saturday night.  Also the Lavigne Golden Age Club is the site for a fundraiser this Sunday from 10 to noon while the Sturgeon Falls Curling Club is organizing a fundraising event in March.  In the accident a 21-year-old North Bay man is charged with four counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
