A complete fire ban is in effect for the area. The West Nipissing Fire Service says all burning permits are suspended until further notice.
This comes as our forest fire hazard level hits extreme.
The Ministry of Natural Resources reported four new wildland fires in the Northeast region yesterday, all in the Sudbury district. They are either under control or being held.
