North Bay Police have charged a 54-year-old man with assault. It’s alleged that sometime between noon and 3 on Wednesday the accused physically assaulted his girlfriend at a North Bay home. She fled the scene when he was distracted, and flagged down a passing car to call the police. The North Bay man now faces two assault related charges. His name will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
