The average homeowner will see an annual increase of $37 on their tax bill.
On Tuesday, West Nipissing council approved the $33,325,900 budget, which represents a tax levy increase of 2.00%.
Council met ten times throughout March and April, ironing out various details of the budget.
Alisa Craddock, the municipality’s treasurer, wrote in a memo to staff stating operating challenges were mitigated this year through a transfer of prior year surpluses (over $720,000) and renewed COVID-19 funding from the provincial government.
