With the summer months arriving quickly, so too is West Nipissing’s construction season.
From mid-June to October, the municipality will be undertaking its 2021 capital projects including paving and sidewalk projects.
The municipality says any work that involves repaving will be subject to a five-year no-cut policy, and any resident who intends to install water or sewer service should call them immediately.
Some projects include:
Arthur St. – Paving from John to Mackie (projected cost – $85,000)
Belanger St. – Paving and Waste Water Collection Upgrades from Salter to Third (projected cost – $100,000)
Cartier St. – Paving from Principale to St. Amour (projected cost – $40,000)
Ethel St. – Sidewalk construction from Michaud to White Woods School (projected cost – $50,000)
Lisgar St. – Sidewalk construction from Cache Bay rd. to École Jeunesse Active (projected cost – $120,000)
Mageau St. – Paving from Third to Roy (projected cost – $130,000)
Ottawa & Spring St. – Paving from Bay to Pembroke (projected cost – $40,000)
Principale St. East – Sidewalk construction (south side) from HWY 64 to 70 Principale (projected cost – $120,000)
Sabourin Rd. – Paving from 451 to 340 (projected cost – $65,000)
