Downtown North Bay has announced a flurry of festivities for the August long weekend. They are holding the “Civic Weekend Free For All” in partnership with Summer in the Park.
It kicks off with Moonlight Madness on Thursday July 30th, which is a sidewalk sale event until 11 PM. From Friday until Sunday it’s the “Rage in a Cage” dodgeball tournament right on Main Street. Then on Saturday, a dirt jump competition will take place downtown called Mayhem on Main.
DIA Executive Director Jeff Serran says the event is a win-win for the retailers that belong to the downtown because it’s bringing a lot of foot traffic to the area. The events are completely free to the public to watch and enjoy.
