Manitoulin will have to wait a bit longer for the return of junior hockey to the island. The North Bay Trappers, who are leaving the city after this season and we’re considering Manitoulin as a possible site, have opted for Mattawa. The Mattawa re-location became possible after the Mattawa Voyageurs of the Greater Metro league decided to leave town after this season. The Trappers will become known as the Mattawa Blackhawks.
