The Municipality’s Fitness Centre and Pool are re-opening.
Gym go-ers will be able to re-enter the gym next Tuesday, while the pool will be re-opening Monday, April 12.
The Municipality is reminding the community that drop-in visits are not permitted, and bookings will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
The municipality postponed the re-opening of the gym and pool earlier this month due to planning for immunization clinics in the Marcel Noel Hall.
“We wanted to get through individuals 80 and over vaccination clinic before opting to re-open facilities,” said Stephane Poulin, Director of Economic Development and Community Services. “It was our first vaccination clinic and in discussion with the health unit as well as local health officials, we felt it was best to keep those facilities closed and focus our efforts and energy on the vaccination clinic to limit the traffic in and out of the site. That’s what happened, and it went great last week. So now those facilities are re-opened.”
