Name announced for newly merged John XXII and Corpus Christi schools…

The newly merged John XXII and Corpus Christi schools in North Bay will now be known as Holy Cross Catholic School. The new name was decided upon by the Catholic School Advisory Council who took in suggestions from the community. It was one of eight names voted on.

In a media release the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board said that “The holy cross is a powerful sign of true love, sacrifice and humility. It reminds Christians of God’s love for us in sacrificing his own son for humanity. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6)”
